A few words about us

Our mission

Mission of Fasterix pool is to be a reliable staking player on Avalanche network and give our users a service they can always count on.

Where did the name “Fasterix” come from?

Your first thought was it came from comic book character Asterix, but this is far from the truth.

We used to have a cat named Faster and he was our first cat. He passed away a few years ago, so we decided to name this pool after him. And the suffix is added for easier pronunciation and to make it more uncommon and unique. Just like our staking pool.

And yes, we treat our cats like they are part of a family, that’s why we refer to them as “he” or “she”.

How is node data collected?

We do not take security for granted, so this Website is not located on any Avalanche staking node. It is located completely outside of staking node infrastructure.

There is also no port open on staking nodes for this Website to read data.

So, how do we collect analytical data then?

Staking node sends it’s own data to this Website via GET method using standard Web port. Data is encrypted with a 256-bit secret key and decrypted using same key when it reaches this Website. Every staking node has it’s own key to encrypt its data.

Data is send every 30 minutes, which is enough for every user to monitor their staking nodes. There is also an API REST call you can use, if you are interested in storing or displaying this data on your Website or app.

What type of data do we collect?

For the purpose of statistics, we don’t collect any private data, only basic server data. If you decide to delegate to our servers, it will all be anonymously. Absolutely no personal data will be sent over then Internet or stored on our servers.

If you decide to validate, only personal data we store is your e-mail. This is needed for communication and security purposes.
